What is the RCGP Active Practice?

Manor View Practice is proud to be an RCGP Active Practice, reflecting our commitment to helping both patients and staff become more active and reduce the amount of time spent sitting.

The Active Practice Charter is an initiative from the Royal College of General Practitioners. Practices work towards five key areas, including increasing physical activity among patients and staff, reducing sedentary behaviour, and building links with local physical activity providers.

At Manor View Practice, this means recognising physical activity as an important part of maintaining good physical and mental wellbeing. We aim to encourage small, realistic changes that can help people move more and make activity part of everyday life.

Being an Active Practice is also about creating a healthier practice culture, supporting our team as well as helping patients find appropriate opportunities to become more active in the local community.
