This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week across the UK with particular focus on ‘Loneliness’.During the pandemic, loneliness has been affecting us more and more in the UK, and it has affected our physical and mental health severely. Despite the relaxation of lockdown rules, loneliness continues to be a significant negative contributing factor to both physical and mental well-being. In order to protect our mental health, we must find better ways of tackling the epidemic of loneliness. Every one of us can play a part in this effort. At Manor View Practice our Senior Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner is available to offer specialist mental health advice and support to our patients and their carers. This role in primary care is the bridge between primary care and secondary care, providing specialist mental health advice and support. To achieve this, we believe that keeping our patients and their carers at the heart of this new project is paramount. We offer early triage, assessment, treatment, risk management, identifying and dealing with safeguarding concerns as well as contributing to case discussions and service-related meetings across the adult mental health community pathway. For more information about Mental Health Awareness Week and useful resources please visit:www.mentalhealth.org.uk/#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #ManorViewPractice ...
