On 11th September 2021, a team from Manor View Practice took part in the 5km ‘Nuclear Blast’ obstacle course in support of two local charities Watford Workshop and Pepper FoundationWe are proud to have been able to raise a total of £4211.48 that was split equally between these two wonderful organisations. Thank you to everyone that took part and for all the generous donations that were made.Watford Workshop is a charity which provides employment for those who struggle with disabilities. The environment and variety of work provided by the charity to its service users helps develop skills, build friendships, and boost confidence. Their unique workforce provides hand packing outsourcing to an array of companies both in the UK and worldwide. Along with supportive employment, they also provide their service users with access to training courses in a variety of educational and independent life skills. The in-house team of qualified tutors regularly tailor these courses to suit the needs and abilities of the service users. All donations enable the charity to continue providing a safe environment for adults with disabilities to work, learn and flourish.The Pepper Foundation is a charity that provides hospice care to children with complex health needs or life limiting illnesses in the comfort of their own home. They also provide support to the children's families and arrange events throughout the year that provide these children with the chance to socialise together. The Pepper Foundation's aim is to ensure the children they care for can enjoy the best quality of life possible, however short that life may be.
