Length of Repeat Prescriptions
We issue routine repeat prescriptions to patients with a maximum of 2 months supply.
For some higher risk medications, in the interest of patient safety, we will issue prescriptions to last for less than 2 months.
Patients travelling abroad for extended periods will need to obtain their medication from a local medical service.
In exceptional circumstances, we might be able to issue routine medication as a one-off for up to 3 months, e.g. for patients travelling abroad. Although this would be decided on a case-by-case basis depending on the medication being requested and is contingent upon the patient having an up-to-date medication review.
