At Manor View Practice we have worked hard to establish a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) through thoughtful planning, collaboration and alignment of goals, in order to provide the very best care to our patients across our four communities.
We have considered the wide range of unique characteristics of our patient population and we have taken the time to assess the specific needs that our diverse skill mix of clinical staff can address. This includes improving patient care, enhancing efficiency and being able to offer a variety of clinical, health and care solutions for our patients.
Our Multidisciplinary Team includes: GPs, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), Nurses, Health Care Assistants (HCAs), Phlebotomists, Social Prescribing Link Workers and Mental Health Workers. The practice has invested heavily in these staff members to give our patients a great service and more appointments daily.

Clinical pharmacists are joining general practice teams more and more. They’re experts in medicines and can assist people in various ways. This includes conducting medication reviews for patients with ongoing health issues and enhancing patient safety and outcomes with a focus on the individual. They also help those with long-term conditions like diabetes, COPD, and asthma.
Pharmacy Technicians process repeat medications, conduct medication reviews and provide patient education on medication use and adherence. By supporting clinical pharmacists and GPs, they help ensure efficient medication management and improve patient safety and outcomes.

A First Contact Practitioner (FCP) is a physiotherapist qualified to treat patients directly without needing a referral from a GP or other healthcare professional. FCPs serve as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking help for musculoskeletal (MSK) issues, providing appointments in place of visits to a GP.
