Help to Lose Weight

1/ Weight loss groups

There any many organisations that can help you lose weight. No one approach has been shown to be superior.  Losing weight slowly with long-term changes in the way you eat and exercise will help the weight stay off.

Contact details for the local branches of the three largest weight loss organisations are given below.

Manor View Practice does not recommend any particular one and other organisations exist.

Please check websites before going along.

Qualifying conditions include controlled high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, muscle and joint problems, smoking or heavy alcohol use, mental health problems and others.

If you feel you may be eligible and want to be referred please see a GP.
