The Practice Holds the Following Weekly Clinics:
- Well Woman
- Antenatal (Appointments are made by the midwife)
- Child Surveillance
- Child Immunisations
- Women's Health/Implants & Coils
All the doctors offer minor surgery services. Conditions requiring minor surgery may be dealt with during normal appointment sessions or a referral may be required.
Routine vaccinations are given by our practice Nurses on a Tuesday afternoon between 2-6pm by appointment only. When attending this clinic please bring your childs red book with you, it is essential to keep this update to date for your own records.
When your babies 6 week check is due an appointment will be sent to you for the clinic on Tuesday morning with either Dr Davis, Dr Gordon, or Dr Moore.
Advice about menopause problems and hormone replacement therapy is provided by Dr Gordon in a normal surgery appointment.
Babies and young children are invited for routine immunisations and checks on growth and development. Child health surveillance services are provided by Drs Paul Davis, Deborah Gordon and Kirsty Moore in association with the Health Visitors.
All the doctors provide contraceptive services in normal surgeries. Coils and caps are usually fitted in one of the Women's health clinics run by Dr Gordon, or by Dr Moore in normal surgery by arrangement. If you wish to have a cervical smear, please state this when making your appointment. Sexually active women should normally have a smear every three to five years from the age of 25. A recall system is in operation which continues to the age of 65.
All the doctors in the practice provide maternity medical services in association with our community midwife. Arrangements to attend the antenatal clinic are made by your doctor. The community midwife also runs classes for preparation for childbirth with the health visitors.
